Yeah! #3 for Alabama Point

Yeah!

 

A little after six today Eric, Keri. Noah & Emma found nest #3 . A tourist, Marya Allen had called it in to the hotline a few minutes earlier. Marya waited for the team and helped throughout the process by taking pictures and getting supplies to us. I met Marya last year at a nest and was so elated to see her again. Our junior team members, Noah & Emma were awesome counting and hammering and picture taking. New team member, Wendy , did a great job jotting down all the stats . Rick helped and even postponed a jet ski trip to help. Thanks team!!!!!!!

 

Mama was 43″ crawl , laid 89 eggs, and came in only 15′ to lay. We encountered two huge dogs as we were finishing the moving of the eggs. I ran to the ladies and asked they leave the beach. Perhaps all the dog encounters I am having are the reason we have only three nests. The coyote are everywhere, as are many fox.

 

The beach is very clean and a pleasure to patrol.
