All the Mama Turtles were trying to get to the Jimmy buffet concert last night! We had three crawls today. I found a very small false crawl just East of the long boardwalk. Susie called, she had a crawl going into the dunes. I finished the West patrol in the rain and headed to Susie’s crawl and she continued patrol. As I was observing the dune crawl, Susie called, she had a big crawl! A few calls went out for help. I am sorry if you did not get called, […clip…]. Thanks to all who came in the rain and worked so very hard.
We dug at the dune crawl but did not find eggs. I marked it as a false crawl and may go later today and dig. However the big crawl produced 113 eggs which were moved. Two inches of water was already seeping into the clutch.
