Orange Beach H-1 on Sunday Morning
June 25: From Lisa Graham (OB Team Lead)

Let me get straight to business – OB had 3 nests today!! A really exciting morning!!
I will try to tell our story in as few words as possible! Ha!
It all started at 12:58 am when Mike called with the expected “Turtle on the beach!” Got to the beach and Momma T. was covering her nest. She was a tagged Momma and while giving tag number to Mike from the beach, another call came in about ANOTHER turtle on the beach! Quickly staked/taped the area. Second sighting was reported east of the Four Seasons pier. Got to the location and found her crawl [clip]. No one on the beach, staked/ taped and headed for home. I notified the LOF crew of the nest locations. Got back in bed abt 2:45. Headed back to the beach 5:15 to deliver materials and prepare for the nest work. Plan was for Mark/Tina to lead work at H9 […clip…] and I would head to H10 […clip…]. As we were marking perimeter to prepare for the egg search, Newbie, David McClure called with another possible nest! Left H10 while our volunteers were preparing the egg search. Upon arriving at H11 determined we definitely had our 3rd nest of the morning! At this point I have no supplies. Skipping to final result – Our awesome OB volunteers processed our 3 nests, found eggs and relocated as follows:
H9 – 40″ width, 94 eggs – tagged- section C on Cathy’s patrol
H-10 – 41″ width, 114 eggs – section A2 on Cindy’s patrol along with FC13.
H-11 – 31″ width, 92 eggs – tagged and think she made FC11 & FC12 from day before and FC13 at Turquoise this morning. Mike this must be the picky turtle the tag team was referring to. Section A1.
Thank you so much to our great team for jumping in and getting the job done! I am a very proud team leader!! Not so worried now about having more than one nest at a time to process. I was all over the place and did not even know who was where and doing what until I saw the pics.
