Gordon’s Surprise for Alabama Point
July 9: From Peggy Lively
Before five a.m. this morning I got a text from Lisa. The clean-up crew had spotted a crawl on our beach. I called the Carrol family and alerted them since they had the duty. They quickly got to the beach and split the walk to finish early. Eric and Noah found the crawl. The crawl was 36″
and had a few odd loops but there was a distinct body pit and thrown sand. There was also thrown sand in the dune area. Rosie called the list and team members began arriving. We dug, and dug, and dug for over three hours. Gabe thought we were going to hit water! Mike Reynolds came to assist after three hours of digging by the team. Even the “Turtle Czar” could not find any eggs! We marked it as a false crawl and will monitor.
Thanks to Eric, Keri, Noah, Emma, Wendy, Gabe, Joe, Richard, Rick & Jackie for all the sweat and hard work you did this morning. I hope you get all the sand out—we had FUN! I wish we had found eggs for all your efforts. You are appreciated.
Keep the Faith,
