Orange Beach H-1 on Sunday Morning
June 21: From Lisa G (OB Team Leader)
Turtles are everywhere!!!
Michele found H-7 this morning in section B. This was actually Michele’s first solo nest! She laid just at the foot of the loungers. After nesting Momma crawled back over the nest area which always makes for a challenge. We looked for quite some time and Tina K. found the eggs!! It was another big crawl width 48″ . I think it was our Momma from H-1, data almost identical and in same area. We also had another oblong egg just like in H-1. 101 eggs were moved to the Northeast.
Thanks to Michele, Mark, Gayle, Tina K., Rhonda, Karen, Cathy, Jeanetta, Jude!! Another fun morning with the Orange Beach Team!
HFC10 was actually called in to OBPD last night. I got the call about midnight. Headed out to find a false crawl. 2 young girls called it in and said that flashlights and people scared her [away]. 38″ crawl width so this was a different turtle. It was in section C west of Holiday Inn.
