A reminder for tomorrow’s (8/18/15) plans:
We are excavating J-2 AND J-8. J-2 is at day 75 tomorrow, and with no hatching activity, it’s time to go in. We will do this one at approximately 1:45 pm. Lynn Stewart, the marine bio teacher from Bryant High School, will also be there with her students to observe and learn.
We will go to J-8 immediately following J-2 so that Ms. Stewart’s students can also see a successful nest excavated and compare differences. For J-8, there is public parking and beach access, and a short walk out to the nest from there.
And don’t forget, we are still checking J-7 daily for any signs of hatching. It’s only on day 52, so there is still plenty of time left for it to hatch!
See you tomorrow!
