Gordon’s Surprise for Alabama Point
Greetings!
I was walking for Jackie T. today and got a call from Susie. She and granddaughter, Kaitlyn, had a crawl almost as soon as they started the East walk. I finished my patrol in a hurry and headed their way. I spotted a classic crawl and nesting area. Gale alerted the team and Susie went to finish patrol. Kaitlyn and I did measurements and waited on the team and supplies. As we were finishing measuring, Susie called. She had another CRAWL!!!! Patsy saw her and quickly went to help. Patsy guarded the crawl and Susie finished patrol and came back to the first crawl. We dug and Al found the eggs! The crawl was 44 inches and 115 eggs were found. We gathered supplies and headed to the second crawl. Patsy was vigilantly guarding the crawl. We dug and Susie found the eggs. These two nests were a family affair for the Michetti family! We hurried and relocated the 107 eggs by 8:30. We now have a total of 10 nests!!!!!
I am so very proud of each team member and appreciate all your hard work and dedication to the program. A special thanks to Kaitlyn for all her help today. She is visiting from Ohio. Hopefully she will see a hatching next week end.
Get plenty of rest, team. WE will have a super busy hatching season. The Mamas have done their work so well this year.
Happy Turtle Mom
