E1 - Found June 28

YEAH!! We have our first nest thanks to Sherry (Laguana Key's Team Leader), who was on nite patrol early Sun. am & saw Mama Turtle throwing sand into the air. The nest was only 4ft from the wrack line and the tide was coming in so Bill marked off the crawl. She was 36 inches wide and laid 122 beautiful eggs (found by Sue H.). Thanks so much to everyone that came out and helped us move the nest to higher ground: Bob (GPS) & Sue, Jill & Steve, Jimmy, Matt (who took these pictures), Kathy, Luana and Sheila. Great job everybody! Cannot wait until our next nest!

YEAH!! We have our second nest. Bill found it at 5:30am. She was 28 inches wide and laid 83 beautiful eggs (found by Bill). Mike had us move the nest up by the boardwalk. You can't miss it! Thanks so much to everyone that came out and helped us: Bob (GPS) & Sue, Jill & Steve, Patricia, Brenda, Nancy (pics) and Jessie (pics). Also thanks to West Beach volunteers: Sparky (for helping move the eggs) & Everett (for bringing extra stakes from nite patrol). Great job everybody! Can't wait to do it again!

Thanks again to our GREAT team!
